Whether it’s booking flights for a group trip or ordering pizza while watching the game with friends, we live in an age of constantly “paying each other back.” Well, the entire “process” just got a whole of a lot easier thanks to Square Cash.
Navigating through the app is super easy as it’s designed with a beautiful, user-friendly interface. Simply follow prompts, which ask you to enter an amount and contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, or $Cashtags – branded usernames unique to Square Cash) of the person you’re sending or receiving money from. Check out in detail all of the easy ways you can send/receive money using Square Cash!
E-mail. Funds come from your checking account via your debit card, and payment goes to the recipient’s debit card. All you have to do is:
- Create an email to whoever you want to pay.
- Write the dollar amount of your payment in the subject line.
- If you like, you can write whatever you want in the message body (or you can just leave it blank).
- Send the email.
First-time recipients/payers using the service will get an email from Square Cash asking you to provide your debit card number. After 1-2 business days, the funds will clear.
Cash.me allows Square Cash payments from any secure web browser. Go to the Cash.me site for the person or business you want to pay (using their $Cashtag after a slash), enter a card number, security code, and payment amount – and you’re done.
Cash for Siri, use your voice to interact with the app saying things like “Send $20 for dinner to Max with Cash” and “Request $200 from Jenn for tickets with Cash.”
Cash for iMessage, quickly send and request money from one another using either iMessage. You can optionally choose to “gift wrap” the money so that when it’s sent, it appears as a surprise to the recipient.
The Cash Virtual Card, let’s users pay for things with money they keep in the app via a virtual Visa debit card. Use anywhere that accepts Visa online. It’s completely free with no hidden fees.
In conclusion, Square Cash is a great app to use to quickly and easily transfer money to/from people you know, regardless of where they bank. Check it out for yourself via iOS here or Android here. Highly recommend!
