If you’re a fan of innovative technology and color, then you’re going to love this! Recently, Huawei and The Pantone Color Institute announced they’d be partnering to feature the latest trend colors in Huawei’s upcoming products.
First, a little bit about Huawei. Over the past couple years they’ve made a huge name for themselves in the smartphone sector, offering products with advanced engineering and amazing specs for lower prices than most competitors. These achievements have resulted in Huawei becoming the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Additionally, they’re listed as 72 on the prestigious Interbrand Best Global Brands list in 2016.
When it comes to The Pantone Color Institute, they’re the go-to source for all things color. Through collaborations, they help top-tier brands around the world leverage the power, psychology, and emotion of color. The Pantone Color Institute also forecasts future color direction, expressing how color influences human emotion through seasonal trend forecasts, custom color creation, and social commentary, including Pantone Color of the Year.
The marriage between Huawei and The Pantone Color Institute aims to build on the success of recent Huawei devices which have sold more than 10 million units worldwide. The collaboration will guarantee that Huawei customers will be offered the most innovative and trendy colorways in the palm of their hand.
That being said, today comes the announcement of the new Huawei flagship phones – the P10 and P10 Plus! Both phones are guaranteed to stand out from the rest of the crowd as they come in eight color options (Greenery and Dazzling Blue – thanks to Pantone) and three finishes – high gloss, sandblast, and hyper diamond cut.
The P10 and P10 Plus both offer clean/slim designs which mean no rear camera bump, and the metal backs and smooth edges offer an easy feel. Also, I love the camera capabilities with Huawei’s enhanced portrait mode. Twin 20-megapixel Leica cameras on the rear and a new image processor enable 3D face detection with up to 190 points of recognition. I had personally tested the camera out last week, and it’s all that it’s cracked up to be! The depth-of-field effects are impressive, and the other shooting options are plentiful.
