I attended the opening of the new Seiko boutique as part of a sponsored campaign with Socialstars #SeikoAstron. All opinions in this post are my own.
Last week I had the pleasure of attending an event at the beautiful 620 Loft and Garden to celebrate the grand opening of Seiko’s first high-end boutique on Madison Avenue.
The venue, as mentioned, is beautiful. Being a lifelong New Yorker, I never knew this place even existed! The 620 Loft and Garden features a manicured outdoor garden, complete with reflective pool and fountain. You also get amazing views of Fifth Avenue and St Patrick’s Cathedral. The interior space is great too, with wall to wall windows overlooking the Prometheus statue, Rockefellar Plaza and the marquee of Radio City Music Hall.
As far as who was in attendance, the lineup consisted of many high level Seiko figures including President and CEO of Seiko Watch Corporation Shinji Hattori, who welcomed media and clients as well as brand ambassador Novak Djokovic, who is in New York to play in the U.S. Open. It was an honor to meet and chat with both. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, there were samurai’s there, too!
The event also included the reveal of the new Seiko Astron GPS Solar. This amazing watch is able to adjust to all time zones on earth. Additionally, since it is solar powered, it never needs a battery change and also has a perpetual calendar, so the date will always be accurate, up to February, 2100, irrespective of leap years. Much more on the Seiko Astron GPS Solar coming very soon as I will be receiving the watch for a full review!
