Maybe it’s the black leather gloves or the sunglasses but the first thing that came to mind after putting this look together was Agent 47 from the Hitman video game franchise. But that’s where the similarities stop. Agent 47 is a genetically enhanced master assassin and the culmination of decades of secret research into gene augmentation. It’s safe to say I’m not.
Ok, enough about fictional assassins and back to menswear. The Zara overcoat featured is one of my favorite. I’ve had it for about 3 years now and it’s perfect (with some layering) for non freezing winter days. I recommend layering similar, lighter overcoats with a warm sweater or puffer vest, and throwing on a scarf to finish things off. Speaking of scarves, I purchased this one in a small shop in Milan, also about 3 years ago. If you’re wondering about the Cleopatra pin, it’s actually a one of three buttons I purchased and made into pins at a thrift shop.
You don’t need a very intricate outfit in order to appear stylish. The devil is always in the details. Adding a little pattern to an outfit, unique accessory, or just a different scarf knot will often take you to the next level without trying too hard. I hope you all enjoy the photos and feel free to comment and let me know what you think!
